XP winlogon access violation has me stumped for now. Hope I won’t have to reinstall – though that might be the cleaner option.

Hmm, still getting memory write error in winlogon. H/w diagnostics say mem is ok, safe mode works fine, so what’s up? Trying AVG scan.

Anyone know why XP SP3 doesn’t recommend you run it in safe mode? Isn’t that supposed to be safer?

Trying to sort out a PC that started throwing errors half way through XP SP3 install. Got it to boot into safe mode to use CD to try again.
