Arsenal confirmed in 2nd place

Last night Chelsea beat Manchester United 3-1, and in doing so, ensured that Arsenal finish in 2nd place in this season’s premiership. Apparently half the Man U fans had left the stadium by the time Alex Ferguson and his team did their lap around the pitch thanking their fans 🙂

Tonight Arsenal play Everton, and with nothing to play for on either side it might turn into a damp squib. However, Thierry Henry may be back from injury, and Wenger may well wish to use this match to continue to prepare his players for the FA Cup Final on Saturday week. It looks like these preparations will also include giving Sol Campbell and Freddie Ljungberg a run-out on Sunday against Birmingham. All that aside, this is the last home game of the season, so I’m sure the Highbury faithful will keep the stadium full while they congratulate their team on another reasonably successful season.
